Deep garnet in color with slight bricking edges. Nose of bing cherries, menthol, and hint of vanilla and leather. Tastes of bing cherries, milk chocolate, espresso, and hint of licorice. Medium to long finish. A surprising amount of fruit for the age. The fruit was linear from a pop and pour. I expect it should be decanted. In a nice place now with resolved tannins and pronounced acidity. Drink over the next 5-7 years.

It's breathtaking aroma will have you in a trance from the first swirl. A combination of rich dark fruits mainly focusing on blackberries displaying hints of cinnamon and vanilla. The dark ruby red colour is seductive. You'll be drooling by the time you take your first sip and let me tell you it doesn't end there. Complex is a simple word that doesn't do this wine justice. Bold, supple and juicy is a good starting point. You'll travel the forest floor rubbing shoulders with all your best memories of the greatest cabs you've ever tried. It's finish is long, long, long. This is a true powerhouse of love. I still have a few bottles left but not enough...

Deep purplish ruby. A nose of blackberry, Mediterranean spice rub, barbecue smokes and meat. Acidic, full bodied, some alcohol heat, rounded tannins, and intensely flavoured. Ripe blackberry and cassis flavours, with roses, grass, twigs, and quite meaty. Fairly long. Nice!

A stunning wine. Worried that it was past it’s best but concerns were not warranted. Drinking beautifully on a special occasion.

It’s an excellent wine; beautifully balanced, great nose, balance; perhaps surprisingly, but still plenty of life left.
