My last bottle, and quite possibly the best. Drinking even better on day 2 than day 1. On day one, that funk was really evident, as were some granular tannins. On day two it was all spice and kirsch and wonderfully integrated, plush tannins. Still plenty of spice. A great food wine.

Funny. This is actually pretty stunning. And I was prepared to be totally unimpressed. The Mourvedre really shows through, and in a brilliant (and barnyardy) way. Actually comes across like a Chateauneuf, albeit not the top tier of that category. But at its price its rather well done indeed. Wish it had a better label.

Lots of funk at first, settling into a brightly berry, barnyardy, crunchy red.
