Old Wine Offline; 9/26/2014-9/27/2014 (The Room Off the Patio at Ruth's Chris, and My House): Shockingly youthful, medium lemon-yellow color. Unusual nose, floral, touch of sulfur and burnt rubber. Simple but fresh palate, flowers and citrus, extremely light, thinnish, crisp and acidic. Too light to be great, and losing its chardonnay character, still surprisingly lively for its age.

If served blind, I would have guessed this wine was 20 years younger. Light yellow color. Pear, apple and citrus palate. Slight metallic taste on finish. Very enjoyable but not great

Matchsticks and flint galore along with crushed rocks.
Mineral driven palate with apple core. At this point the acidity is really the only thing holding this together. Short finish. Didn't like this nearly as much as some others in the group. My nod went to the '71 Chablis.
88pts.
