  Bing cherry, black cherry, earth and mushrooms on the nose.
  Light on it's feet, a bit racy with med/med(+) acidity and bright red fruits. There is a slight hollowness in the mid palate, but the slightly astringent tannins show up with some air to give lift and mouthfeel and add to the nicely red fruited finish.
  This is a relatively simple and straightforward food wine, that can still be contemplated and really enjoyed. It is in the sweet spot of my favorite style of wines these days...just super solid, great value, no nonsense, a sensible wine that is made correctly and in appreciation of the terroir of Bordeaux. Drink up, not gonna get any better, but will last through 2016.

  The palate shows med intensity black fruits, med intensity tannins that are beautifully grippy and astringent in a nice way, med length finish. Lots of wine for the money. Tasty with food, and drinking beautifully now through 2015. Significantly better than my last bottle a year ago.
