Pleasant red cherry, red raspberry and mesquite aromas and flavors. Fruit-forward but balanced by light tannins and medium acidity. Drinking well now but should last through its 10th birthday.

I was asked to bring several wine for a variety ofindividual tastes to a dinner where the hostess had made Lamb Osso boco and pasta. While I did not decant it, I had opened it about 45 minutes before it was served (slightly above cellar temp). While the Barolo appeared to be the favorite of the evening, this blend paired well and received many compliments. Pleasant nose, muted fruit with an earthy tone; the acidity and structure made this a nice match with the entrée. This CAlifonia-Rhone is food friendly and would work with many foods.

Still retaining nice fruit, sweet cherries, although was a little tart at first, then opened up. Drank half one night, and was better second night. Has a thread of anise running through it. Lots of minerality. Nice acidity, good food wine. Paired well with pork tenderloin. Was expecting it to be a heavier wine.

Great cherry and caramel flavor. If you have any left, I’d drink them now (though admittedly I’m no expert).
