From a 200ml bottle. This was in fine shape after all these years. Originally purchased at the Duty Free store coming back from Niagara Falls. I had a few Canadian dollars left and wanted to use them up. I do love Vidal Blanc especially as a dessert wine. Golden in color. A gorgeous nose of canned peaches. Viscous. Sweet not cloying. Long finish. Quite tasty. Certainly seemed in a fine place at age 13.

Drank next to the Daniel Lenko Late Harvet Vidal from the same vintage, in comparison we probably enjoyed the slightly 'fresher' LH vs. this icewine, but the complexity and enjoyment factor in this Icewine was quite high for sure - Deep bronze in colour, full bodied with caramel apple, toffee and creme brullee on the nose, quite viscous, sweet, yet good balancing acidity on the palate with terrific length, excellent! (93 Points).

Everything was there for a perfectly fine icewine. Unfortunately there was also a top note which made me almost gag and a front of the mouth flavour which said “you’ll get sick if you drink this”. Probably well past the drink by date.

This was rather disappointing ice wine. Lacking any of the beautiful nose, depth, intensity and sweetness that ice wines are known for.

Reliably good; Intense sweetness balanced by a complex aftertaste.
