Needs a bit of air still. Opens up to raspberry, cherry and spice. Good acidity makes this a fine food wine. Tannins have softened although by the end of the bottle things have firmed up again.

13% alcohol. Good cork, not that dense but with good elasticity. The colour is translucent ruby, pretty attractive. The nose is reticent until late in the meal, when undergrowth emerges from the wild red berries; plenty of zip in the mouth with commendable purity of fruit. Acidity dominates unduly in the finish. Taste-wise, this bottle belongs to the same world as Fleurie, price-wise, it is in a different universe altogether; as a result, the (non) repurchasing decision is obvious.

Interesting compared with other notes. Needed about 30 min to open up, and that was enough. Mature, balanced. Open and accessible with good fruit and solid soft tannins. Dark cherry and smoke. Long finish.

Spicy granite. Voluptuous. Meaty, curated, cherry marc. Scented. Filled with gnarled rootbeer. Stewed mint. Green cinnamon molasses. Rigid prow.

Sweet cherry. Smokey. Medium weight. A bit short. Needs a bit of a class to excel in the glass. Which it lacks. Still okay but not gee whiz.
