  • Richly textured, velvety dark fruit with enough acidity to follow it through. Drinking beautifully now, and should for another year or two. Rock solid producer across the spectrum of their lineup.

  • The nose smells of dark fruits with hints of coffee and chocolate. Smells like a big wine. Not overly heavy on the palate, I agree on previous notes that the Syrah heavily influences the palate, showing good ripe fruit and some peppery, earthy flavors. Nice length through the finish, the acid and tannins meet the intensity of the flavors well and show good integration. I can't fault anything about this wine, it smells and tastes really nice. The fruit is still ripe and fresh in this and the structure is all there so I would honestly be interested to see this age a bit longer, although it is drinking nicely already.

  • This is an interesting contrast to the Linne Calodo Slacker we drank last night. Paso wine vs. Washington, this one has more Syrah and Mourvedre and less Grenache. This is also a 2009 vintage not a 10. You can taste the additional Syrah, there is a little more acid in this bottle. This has wonderful fruit, a hint of dark cherry mixed in with a complex mixture of dark fruit, spice and earth and a long flavorful finish. This isn't quite as smooth as The Slacker, and doesn't have as amusing a name, but holds its own as a wonderfully flavorful wine.

  • A very nice southern Rhône tribute wine. Readily identifiable as a WA Syrah blend however, very fruit forward. Agreeable nose, Concentrated and sturdy palate, good acid, modest tannins. Without notable depth.
