Full bodied with nutty, almond, and cinnamon flavors. It is moderately sweet with a significant alcohol "bite" when initially opened but it fades quickly. It has a wide palate and evolves over the course of the evening, like grand crus chablis.

A bunch of Brunellos: Yellow gold in color. The nose has some lemons and some buttered popcorn notes. Oily texture which I really liked. The palate had decent acidity. Citrusy, creamy, ripe fruit. Blind, I was stumped but thought perhaps Tocai Friulano. It turned out to be Tuscan; half Chard, half Pinot Blanc. Could have been anything from anywhere. Nothing offensive until I heard it cost $65. Never had this before so perhaps other vintages had more cut.

E. Tasted at Vinitaly.

Citrus peel, dried stonefruits, mineralic and long. Smooth. Lacks complexity to reach the hights of Burgundy. A nice wine indeed.
