  From Mag. The nose is dense and smoky then on the palate a lovely plum fruited attack with a stitch of leather padding. There's a bit of barnyard and decay before bright acidity and a spicy if slightly short finish. Probably on the way down but rather enjoyable and certainly no rush to finish these.

  Lovely rounded vanilla nose, dark ruby red, translucent. Smooth, mouth filling, savoury notes as you swallow. Tannins and warmth emerge on the finish. Lovely now, no signs of thinning or drying. Hints of cherry and lots of currants, red and black.

  This has improved a lot and is drinking really well. Savoury aromas and red cherries on the nose, then a fairly rich attack of cherry and plum, before a chunky middle section that fills the mouth nicely, featuring blackberry, and a slightly spicy finish. Quite like a St.Julien in profile and excellent value. No hurry, this is only just hitting the plateau and I would imagine that it will last for the next decade.
