Thought I'd held this too long but No! Nice dark color all the way to the edge, no bricking. Gave it a short decant and it opened up beautifully with notes of dark cherry, black raspberry and marjoram. Held its own in structure but certainly not a big wine. Delicious!

The nose showed raspberry jam, plum, dusty coco and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it was juicy yet intense with sweet cranberry and mocha notes. However, with all of its intensity, this wine still managed to color within the lines and finished long and gracefully. It was a pleasure to drink.

Somehow impressively Cotes-du-Rhonish (I guarantee you you could fool a few geeks with this one as to its origins, it's so garriguey & earthy & balanced) without it seeming imitative/derivative -- it's still its own thing, somehow. Chris Brockway continues to bat .1000 for me. Definite rebuy/retry for me.
