Strawberries and black cherries on the nose. A bit an off taste in the beginning, which disappeared after about half an hour. Medium bodied with a medium, slightly tart end. Tobaco, leather and little fruit on the palate. Its not bad, but one expects a lot more from an 04 Rioja Reserva.

Bottle recommended by a local Spanish wine shop. Pours a slightly brownish black with minimal legs. Slight signs of age show in the color. The aroma has hearty spices, fruit leather, and a touch of plum. Moderate acidity balances a clean, slightly piney, slightly tannic flavor. Not very much going on in this one, in all honesty. It has no clear flaws, it is just not a particularly exciting wine. I'd not age it for much longer, I can't see anything happening with this one.

Deep ruby color. Nose of black cherry skin, vanilla and a touch of oak. Medium bodied on the palate with sweet tannins, a bit empty into the finish. Better with food. (From a .375).

Dense, a little age.
Fruity nose, spicy, attractive, slight sulphur notes.
An OK taste but very tannic.
