  This one caught me off guard. The color of Coca Cola, pours like heated maple syrup. Figs, dates, raisins. Where were the pears or apples? Could use more acid. Perhaps this is a bit over the hill. Tonight seeming much more like a LV Australia Muscat or old Spanish PX than a German Riesling. The conclusion was this would be great over vanilla ice cream. Not one to re-buy. Drink up (or eat).

  Poured like maple syrup and surprisingly the color was even darker than maple syrup which was weird for a '96... Tons of dates and raisins. Still some good acidity, but just not sure about this one. Hardly anyone thought it was riesling.
