Birthday dinner with family at Pennyhill Park. Modern take on Tokay. Huge sweet concentration of bitter marmalade-led and aromatic fruits, some nuttiness and a ferocious core acidity that prevents any cloring of the palate. Drinking well now and for at least another 20 years with this structure. Excellent if somewhat atypical.

Very, very, nice. Elegant, with strong notes of candied lemon and orange peel, kumquat, and honeysuckle. This may be in a phase right now, but as good as it was, it seemed it could have delivered a rounder mouthfeel, greater depth, and a longer finish.

Beeswax, herbs, green almonds. Still quite young, which makes sense after the first sip - sky high acidity makes it challenging and austere. Barely sweet. Quite exciting, but it's on the acidic extreme side of Aszú (or any sweet) wines.

Ap: Dark golden yellow Ar: Intense apricot nose with honey, spices and a good dash of minerals. Very delicate use of oak. Very good intensity. Full bodied, very concentrated and great sugar-acidity balance as inn all wines I tried from Disznoko. Very good length

The best sweet of the day, together with Huet's Clos de bourg Moelleux 1989.
