Blackberry nose. Blackberry continues in the mouth, along with a touch of mint from the oak. Excellent finish with good acidity. None of the vanilla or chocolate that sometimes gets in the way. Wow, this is a fantastic QPR wine! Borderline 92-93, going with the higher score in light of what a good deal this was. The 2007 vintage continues to rock for mid tier Napa.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes plus. This was as good as I remembered; the nose has nice tobacco with cassis, ripe plum and vanilla, just a touch of sweetness on the nose. The palate has full body, nice texture, black rich fruit, cassis, plum, tobacco, fine tannins and a medium finish. This has nice depth and and good balance. Definitely a solid QPR and one to look for in good vintages. 90+ to 91pts.

Very dark red color. PNP with aeration, drank 2 glasses over 2.5 hours. Needed about 20 minutes and then emerged. Mulberry, cassis, oak, graphite, underbrush, spice, oak. The palate is full bodied, nice tannins, consistent with previous bottle. Great QPR.

Bird Wines of Alcatraz or The Bird Brain Wine & Dine (Judith's House): Very dark red color. Decanted for 2 hours. Really nicely perfumed nose with florals, blueberry, mulberry, light oak, spices. The palate is velvety, full bodied, black fruits, spice, oak, fine grained integrated tannins, long finish. Very good. My WOTN, 92pts.
