This wine opens quite slowly when poured, after more than a decade in cold cellar. The nose was initially very shy. After 30 minutes in a good Burgundy glass.. the wine begins to open and display white floral aromas. Richness builds in the taste over several hours, with substantial acidity & structure. Tropical, white floral aromas deepen over the same time. Very happy with how this bottle aged.

No notes. On pop-n-pour this was nutty and seemed a bit iffy, low on pleasure. I set the bottle aside and revisited an hour later. It had filled out with richness. I enjoy Chards at this point. It's balanced and complete. It's past its prime, in that it's lost complexity and is no longer vibrant, where most people won't be impressed. In points terms, it had been a 93, is now, to me, a 90 and is probably low 80s to most.

What a beautiful bottle of chardonnay drinking superbly at 10 years old.. We drank with our seafood appetizers which were shrimp, baked stuffed clams and crabcakes. The wine was vibrant with flavors of peach, pineapple and vanilla. The finish lingered.

Popped, poured, consumed over next two hours. Well balanced, nicely integrated, has aged beautifully.
