Earth, purple flowers, jammy raspberry aromas, maybe a little VA(?); lighter body, medium(+) acidity, not dominant, but makes it juicy; medium(-) tannins that are grainy/rustic; complex finish. Well balanced from front to back. Delightful in a cerebral analysis. Probably best with food, but had at a tasting.

I just popped one of these and my immediate reaction was -- this is terrific. I'm reading the recent notes and I wonder if we're drinking the same wine. Mine was stashed away at Portland Wine Storage. For $19 from Garagiste -- this is in my perspective a rare home run.
I popped and poured into a burgundy glass -- and immediately the nose is terrific, the front palate & mid palate are well rewarded. I really like this wine and at this point in time I am not experiencing what other recent tasters have reported.

Nails on chalkboard. Wine that triggers a headache. Extracted and missing the mark. Tightly wound. Drank better after a day of rest, but nothing to write sonnets about. Plunk.

agree with previous comments: opened several bottles almost 2 years ago and was extremely down on this wine. some time in bottle has clearly added density... also agree that its optimal to drink this after a full or full-medium bodied varietal... after a syrah or cabernet. not a 'first bottle' by any means, but had advanced in bottle.

Please note: I use a rating system in which 85 is a very good wine.
Decent bottle, but nothing noteworthy. Just not a lot going for me. Fruit okay, not too acidic. Just sort of okay.
