This is the color of watermelon juice. It looks like watermelon juice. It tastes .... better than watermelon. However, the flavor of watermelon dominates the palate; a good thing. Citrus, pear, sage and other herbs round out the palate. It is an interesting rosé. Could it be the 11% Riesling - yes, Riesling - that Peter added? To my mind, that was a bold stroke, making it one of the better rosés of the past year or so. Bold, flavorful, refreshing, interesting, quaffable: what more could you ask of a rosé? 13.9% alc. With chicken salad and pasta salad. Over a couple of days Memorial Day weekend 05.29.11 (with the Phillips in Crozet) through 05.30.11. 05.29.11. Recommended.
