Well past its prime; somewhat surprising since previous bottle less than a year ago was sublime. Nose was particularly flat. Hints of leather, blackberry and oak on the palate. Medium finish; no tannins left. Cork looked fine but perhaps it didn't hold up?

Oh my, this was bad. Lots of saw dust and lamp oil on the nose, behind that brussels sprouts and somewhat greenish red currant. Palate has a very short sweet cassis attack, then quickly falls off towards a metallic and slightly bitter finish. For an asking price of around 10 Euros and the name it carries this is truly embarrassing.

At chest level the aromas were wonderful: grape jam and a little bit of grape Jolly Rancher! At chin the wine really gave away brussel sprouts and greens behind its bold fruits.
Overall its a savory wine with moderate alcohol. Early sweetness betrays the dry length and finish. It's one of the more mild Cabs I've had: not overpowering and less masculine than its more notable brethren. While it has some Cabs qualities, I don't find it to be distinctive of Cabs.
