Profoundly dark garnet. Sour cherry aroma. All the blacks, the black cherry again, black olives, black pepper on palate. A terrific equilibrium of acidity, totally integrated tannins and minerality. Structured, resolved finish. Nigh on perfect, and certainly great drinking pleasure. However close a wine might to its drinking window end, there’s a saudade about savouring the last bottle.

At its absolute peak. Deeply dark garnet wine. Minerality, acidity, spices, and fruit - apple and blackcurrant, in subtle check. Satisfyingly balanced wine which as a magician's slight of hand, the silken tones reveal a pronounced and solid satisfying finish.

More character than the previous bottle, this had dark fruit flavours along with a dash of red currant acidity. A good, if slightly short finish, and this was very enjoyable with a steak...

Disappointing, calming red juice without bite or significant structure. Should I have drunk this 2 or 3 years ago. I have just checked the drinking window and it is recommended as 2018. So hopefully bottle variation.... :)

The best bottle so far. Deeper, darker fruits and a bit of licquorice. Nice soft finish and a lovely lovely texture of rough silk!
