Has classic chenin character but with a lean, austere frame and some mild oxidation starting to show. Not particularly enjoyable. I'd drink up. I think I prefer the sec chenin younger and more fruit forward to support the bone dry nature. In its youth this was one of the higher acid chenins I'd had, but with age it has gotten a bit less interesting as fruit has receded faster than the acidic core.

Wth poached salmon & potato salad. Green apples, pears, butter and just a touch of honey. Full-textured. Bitter twist (green apple peel) on the finish.

ROSEANDTHORNES got it right except I was a bit more swept off my feet. Beautiful nose with white stone fruit and floral qualities. Very nice steely finish.

Beautiful nose of seductive ripe nectarine, white fragrant flowers flourishing on a sunny day, white peaches. This vintage is more lean in its flavor profile, the nose is rich and the flavor is more mineral and citrus verve than flowers. It is a beautiful wine that asked me for more time in the bottle, so into the cellar they go for another few months. I think I preferred the 2009 vintage better, it was a little rounder in mouthfeel, more silky and just plain luscious. The sur lie treatment was much more pronounced there than the 2010. But this vintage has its charms. I picture this wine as a woman in a beautifully cut marine color wrap dress, who accessorizes the outfit with her black bookish glasses and fabulous intellect.

Enjoyable now but still pretty taut and nervy and only hinting at the complexity of a mature Loire chenin. 2015+
