Apple, citrus, mineral. Much more apple-y than the 09. And in turn falls into some interesting Chenin territory. Aromas seem a little more mature than the previous vintage. Palate pulls it around, with much less focus on the apple and more mineral affront. As this opens up in the glass, apple recedes and gives way to soft and round mineral.

nose: a fairly light nose for such big flavors on the tongue taste: bright, mouthwatering acidity that softens throughout its length, dense fruit flavors of pear and citrus, still dry, fresh flavor followed by a stony sort of finish

(Château Petit Roubié Picpoul de Pinet) Light straw yellow color; tart citrus, mineral, chalk nose; tasty, poised, tart citrus, mineral, chalk palate; classic, excellent Picpoul; medium finish 90+ points (good alternative to Muscadet with oysters and other seafood)

Reaches in many directions but doesn't volley over in any of them. Delightful and fresh. Reveals itself in the gently thrusting finish.

Excellent representation of Picpoul; bright but not over searing acidity, excellent balance
