Perfumed floral aroma. Rich black fruit flavors with leafy overtones. Full finish with blackberry and cassis. This is a jewel, and drinking beautifully. Lord I miss these folks, but I wish them a long and blissful retirement.

The fruit is mostly gone and the vegetal notes others expressed (earth, leaves, perhaps bell pepper) are all that remained in my bottle. Kept it too long.

2010 Clos Roche Blance (SoNo East Apartments - Chicago, IL): Blend of cabernet franc and cot, and unsurprisingly, has that distinctive CRB aroma of earth, dark berries, and leaves. This bottle is a bit more smokey than some of the others I've had. One of the more honest wines from Touraine, it balances the rich dark fruits with the dash of earth/wet leaves. Sad that this is my last bottle of the 2010.

Finely tuned herbaceous nose with mint and lilacs, chokeberries and cassis, hints of plum stone and liquorice. Medium bodied and quite fleshy palate with refreshing acidity, gripping tannins, juicy dark berry fruit and seamless balance. Minerally stoniness and blue flowers towards the lengthy finish with astringency and meaty weight. Just beautiful. In perfect balance.
