{screwcap, 13.2%} Still pale. A little development on the nose; figs, nuts, sandalwood. Smells woody but not obviously oaky somehow. The palate is quite lean, with grapefruit flavours and cedar. Still quite acidic. More chablis than Cote d'or. Crisp and savoury, light/medium body, medium dry finish. In a bit of a trough I think; probably needs time. I was just a bit under-whelmed somehow.

{screwcap, 13.2%} Pale yellow. Developing nose of peaches grapefruit, fig. Cedary note from French oak. Quite restrained nose too. The palate is quite finely chiselled with its stone fruit flavours and fresh acid, although this certainly seems to have fleshed out since its youth. Not unpleasantly, although it's certainly nearer to chassagne than mersault. Was very closed when cold- needs to be 12C to open properly. Medium weight, with subtle oak flavours filling it out. Medium/long dry finish. Slightly understated but very fine wine which will see 5 more years easily and improve the whole time.

Lemon pith, barley water, oak spice. Palate lacks some depth and concentration with the oak jarring. Slightly bitter finish. Not as impressive as the 2010.
Much better on day 3. More stone fruit, less bitter. Some aniseed, marzipan. Hold for another 2-3 years minimum.

Drinking beautifully. Tastes of apple, oak and rich vanilla. Well balanced and rounded.
