This wine has the typical nose of an old wine: coffee, muscat elements. Colour very dark brown almost orange in the sunlight. A bit cloudy. Tastes like a sherry: prunes, plum, concentrated, smooth, integrated, good acidity, sweetness, long and lingering finish. It has matured as well if not better that the gentlemen who opened it born in the same year or earlier. Plainly the wine has no characteristics expected of the Chenin Blanc grape, but is most enjoyable to drink, and improved in the glass.
