Ok, so I'll admit I was pretty skeptical of a pinot noir dessert wine. I couldn't quite fathom what the flavors would be and I ended up picking the wrong dessert pairing (banana cream pie - although I like that so I might have gotten it regardless). Anyway, on the nose it was kindof a bing cherry smell. On the palatte I get mostly licorice and vanilla although quince was also observed. It's the kindof wine that puts you on your heels a bit and the first impression is 'hmmmm....' and then it either grows or it doesn't. I think for me it grew and so I am moderately a fan after my small glass.

Had with pumpkin pie the first night and fresh cherry pie the second night. Absolutely outstanding dessert wine. Love the pink color.

Elegant and tasty. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. Would buy again without a doubt.
