Rich fresh cherries, flint, wet stones and earth (fresh creek), light and pillowy on the palate.
Have to imagine this is at peak but should hold for some time. This has to be the best Beaujolais I’ve had and could go blow for blow with the big dogs in the Côte d’Or

My first tasting of wine from acclaimed Fabien Duperray. This wine is from the same year he bought the vineyards, that he grows organically and biodynamic. It is also the oldest Beaujolais wine I tasted so far. The wine is dark ruby with thin watery rim. Herbaceous nose with red apples skin and very attractive grassy tones (wild rocket). Full palate, dry and balanced, lifted, lively. Matured, but not tertiary tones, the wine is still full of juicy red cherry and spicy tannins, all well integrated, smooth, with power. Premier cru quality. Very old vineyards. Very good. Edit after 6 hours: The wine is growing in power and still opening. No doubt this will age for another 5 years at least.

Just simply a great wine, the best Beaujolais that I have ever had. It is serious and dark-toned, but at the moment very pleasant, fruity and soft, with solemn flavors of dark fruits and dark cherries. I think that this might be at its peak now.

This wine was insanely good. Nose rich with violets, very little tannin and well integrated acidity. Wine felt chewy and dense. A really superb bottle. Easy the best bottle of beaujolais I've ever consumed. And a tremendous, highly masculine expression of fleurie.

Dekanteret 30 min. Gammel i farven.
