Very pale, slightly greenish color. The nose is also quite green, but definitely more expressive: cut grass, some currant leaf, asparagus and slight cucumber-ish aromas on the fore with hints of smoky flint, crushed rocks and honeyed florals in the background. Very dry in the mouth, but fuller and more delicate overall appearance than of those from the New World. Ripe gooseberries, Granny Smith apple, smoky minerality, bitter herbaceousness and grassy green flavors dominate, but after a while, hints of tropical fruits and ripe citrus fruits emerge. Even though the wine is rather full bodied and big, its crisp, fresh acidity keeps it nicely structured and surprisingly light on its feet. Intense finish with tart, citrussy acidity, flinty minerality, green grassiness and a touch of alcoholic warmth.
Even though I am not a fan of SB, these more understated and delicate Loire valley expressions seem to be a lot nicer than the great majority of New World SB:s. This is a thoroughly enjoyable, fresh, balanced and example of a bit fuller bodied Sancerre. A good buy at 17,71€.

Noiyce sancerre, simple herbal and flinty. A great quaffing wine that was delicious with a cool fish dish.
Drink, why wait?

A bit closed in the beginning, then opens some herbal action and minerals in a restrained style, enjoyed next to Pouilly Fumé from the same producer.

Herbaceous and flinty, the wine is expressive and filled with refreshing lime and green fruit flavours.

Youthful and intense, grapefruit, slightly chalky texture. Some passionfruit builds in the mid palate and finishes dry and very crisp.
