Medium ruby color. 90m air. Cherry, leather, pine, bay leaf, white pepper and potting soil on the nose. Silky and medium-bodied on the palate. Firm rustic tannins that are a bit reluctant to resolving. Dark cherry, fennel, tobacco on the palate with a peppery finish.

Medium garnet color. Black cherry, blackcurrant, oak, moss, bay leaf, thyme and a hint of game on the nose. Smooth, medium-bodied, with chalky tannins that need additional time to mellow and allow the fruit to shine through. Deeply earthy and dusty on the palate, very old world style, with dried fruit and an echo of gaminess. Hold on to this for a few more years.

(Decanted for one and a half hour) Deep red colour and already showing some incipient maturity on the nose with cherries, truffles and leather but also some youthful notes of banana mallow candy and vanilla oak in a smooth and pleasant way. Still showing some austerity on the palate with lots of primary fruit and as it opens up in the glass it shows some tertiary notes and dried herbs on the finish. (Best 2020-2035)

Well made with traditional old Bordeaux tastes - cassis coming through. Ready now. Decanted for two hours and enjoyed with grilled lamp and truffle infused rice.

the tannins still overwhelm the fruit but it seems to have a good core of fruit - leave for at least a couple of years
