13% alcohol. Annual production 16,000 bottles. Served blind.
Translucent, luminous pale ruby color. Super-aromatic and expressive nose with aromas of sweet strawberry yoghurt and rich red berry marmalade with some perfumed floral notes, some cherry liqueur, a little bit of caramel and a very pronounced streak of browned butter. That kind of butter what you'd expect to find in heavily oaked, buttery Chardonnays. Odd. The wine is rather ripe and quite sweet on the palate with medium body and ver silky mouthfeel. There are developed red fruit flavors of wild strawberries, some earthy spice, a lactic note of strawberry yoghurt and a hint of raspberry juice. The wine feels quite bright with moderately high acidity but there are no tannins to speak of. The finish is bright and lively with ripe flavors of raspberries, some lactic strawberry yoghurt, a little bit of tart red forest fruits, a hint of peppery spice and a touch of tannic grip.
Most of the people guessed correctly that this was a Pinot Noir, although not with absolute certainty, because the wine was more about ripe and sweet red fruit characteristics than that textbook Pinosity. Many also noted the rather noticeable lactic character of the wine, making many people believe this was a recent bottling - the surprise was big when it was revealed the the wine was actually 10 years old! Overall an enjoyable, albeit rather sweet Pinot Noir but nothing to write home about. Tasted a bit simple and seemed to be quite a crowdpleaser in style.

Developed in color, brick / brownish. Light bodied , with muted overriped strawberry with very light nuance of minerality. One dimensional and simple for the price.

light garnet, at nose red fruit; raspberry, strawberry, red cherry. Well integrated oak, leading to toasted and spiced notes. At palate well balanced, with soft tannins, with a certain perceivable sweetness. long finish.

Wine kept in storage.
On opening, nose quite muted in the bottle, that subtle earthy funk emerging in the glass.
On pouring, very light clear appearance in the glass.
On the palate - notes of cherry, strawberry, caramel. Drank with a Pasta Puttanesca, and went really well.
Second day - pretty much same as the first day. Drank with a tuna, cannelloni beans and rocket salad.
Thoroughly enjoyable, wish we had more than just this one bottle!

Long soft oak with well integrated light soft fruit, slightly sweet. Pallete strawberry's and cream, low acidity, long finish. Great balance :)
