Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86.5 points

  • Opened and poured, this wine showed well for its forward fruit and textured palate. The wine's only drawback, it fails to provide enough complexity and nuance to move it into the outstanding range. The aromatics show nice balance between the forward black cherry notes, subtle earth and spice notes. The color is medium to dark ruby. The color remains youthful and vibrant. The medium bodied palate shows good balance and medium length. The tannins make an appearance toward from the middle palate on and give the palate texture. This drinks well now and may benefit from a year or two of additional bottle age.
