Brambles, and Kirsch alcohol on the nose - dark red cherry fruit with quite bright acid which is keeping the evident alcohol in check - dusty grippy tannins and a great length - if it wasn't for the heat I would rate this higher - still good and not sure which way it will go in the future

Quiet a classic cabernet nose with hints of lychee, rich well balanced fruit, tannins are still upfront and quite angular, then a lovely dustiness accompanies the rich palate giving excellent length, has the fruit and balance to go longer - I'll give the next bottle at least a couple of years - good

Beautiful mouth filling texture that coats all of the pallet. The Malbec adeptly fills the traditional Cabernet mid pallet hole, with lovely smooth vanilla & almond flavours. Great fruit right across the pallet and smooth as finish just held together with enough tannin and just a hint of menthol and spice from the Cabernet. Lovely wine, wish I could have bought more than the 3 available.

Fairly full bodied. Vegetable nose, perhaps dill. Sweet jammy forward. Nice mouth feel, balanced mid palate. Relatively short finish. Interesting wine.

Oak Barrel - Barossa Wine Tasting 2011 (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Very fruity. Plum, mint and eucalypt. Jammy fruit in the mouth medium tannin and acidity. Medium plus alcohol. shortish finish. Nah.
