The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. It smells like blackberry, fig and dust. It tastes like blackberry and prune. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Still dark purple in colour with no bricking. Seet and dark berry aroma with a touch of pepper, but softened with vanilla that thankfully isn't overdone. On the palate the vibrant fruit is again softened by the vanilla, that when tasted with food isn't obvious, but away from food it's a little too prominent. The acidity is nicely refreshing for drinking now, and indeed whilst it might hold for 2-3 years, I'm not sure I see much benefit in further ageing.
Overall quite pleasing, but the fruit probably needed to shine more tha the oak (but I can see how this might make it have a wider, more immediate appeal).
