A full bodied, oaked Soave with adequate acidity. Oak has integrated nicely and does in no way dominate. Can't really say why I'm not too excited about this, I guess I prefer my Soave unoaked...

Lemon to straw yellow. Yellow fruit nose with pineapple, peach and white pear notes. Hints of hay, almonds, chestnuts, caramel and yellow florals. Dry, medium to fullbodied and slightly oily palate with balanced mid-level acidity. Ripe and concentrated - but by no means boisterous - fruit that marries well with the integrated oak. Long and pleasently refreshing finish showing some nutty aspects and minerality. A very nice balanced effort with Garganega putting on its classy act. (2nd day note)
