Oily, spicy, layered. Juicy! God this is in a really good place. Lychee, honeyed, great length. The spice and alcohol has mellowed but still there to give some character and levels.
This is vgv and still has life in it.

Snapped up a 6 pack from Majestic @ £12.99 apieceback in 2012(?) Started drinking them 1.1.14 and had a bottle each new year's day with a big Chinese meal. Exceptional Gewurz - nowhere in the world makes as good a job of it than Alsace, and to be drinking a (for us) premium product was most satisfyig. I was somewhat concerned with the last bottle which was knocking on 10 years old by the time we drank it - wouldn't normally push any white (tha we can afford!) more than 3-44 years. The cork was still nice and tight, but the colour had turned deep gold, almost orange. Curses, I thought, I've pushed it too far and it's oxidised. I shouldn't have worried, though - the tukish delight, lychee and hit of grapefruit were still just about present & correct in what looked like a glass of golden syrup. Fantastic wine!!

pale yellow. Nose all that-rose, lychee, spice such as clove. Taste medium weight, sweetness, touch bitterness on the end.
