To me, this wine epitomizes freedom in love. Have a sip, relationship therapists! This wine is pure, seductively fruitful and irresistibly sensual, yet instinctively unfocused and unstructured.
Its cherry velvet hue gives the sparkle, the scent begs curiosity and after the first sip, drinkers raise their eyes in a connection with each other. Like a good love life, it has energy, depth and willingness in a juicy package.
The cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant sauce are surprisingly juicy and reminiscent of some low elevation Grands Crus in Burgundy. If this had serious stamina and firmness, you wouldn’t have to fantasize about hard colluvial limestone frolicking in sheets of clay. But this wine is only serious about displaying its flesh. Soothing and cooling like smooth skin under neon light, the succulence and freshness make the love for this wine persist long after the final farewell.
Don’t hesitate. Take it now. You’re already too old for this.

From Mag. Decanted. Not filtered. Bottle says 13.0% alc. Color: ruby with some more brightness and purple than its burgundian cousins. No sign of bricking, looks very fresh. Very complex nose, with sagebrush, cedar/cigarbox, flowers, a lot of fruits. Really nice nose. Mouth is a little less together, still quite yummy. Nice acidity, paired with a certain 'hotness' to the fruit (like a hot year burgundy), more cherry than berries. Not weighty, elegant and yummy. As good as pinot noir gets in the US IMO.

Drinking very well right now. Strawberry and cherry nose. Acid balances ripe fruit on the palate. On the lighter side of Cobb's wines
