opened the woood case of 12 btl tonight after 15y of storage in dark cellar. And it seems after all black and white specualtions about the heat year 2002 that this is the best time to start drinking that usually underrated right bank Pomerol. Fresh and no negative taste of aging, blackberry and chocolate flavour and a fine texture with long finish I didn't expect so clear. Happy to have 10 bottles left with potential for 2-5 y more in a stable cool and dark cellar environment.

Better than its reputation. This wine is probably at its best now. Tannins softened with a long aftertaste. A good reasonable priced right bank Bordeaux clearly dominated by merlot. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, blueberry, forest floor and light toast. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry and forest floor. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Quite deep with little browning. A nice blueberry note but mostly rather hot and indistinct nose. Tannins becoming a bit hard but not toppling over yet despite recent warnings in Decanter about the 2003's and Pomerol in particular.

Wonderfully balanced, structured with refined dark fruit, this Bordeaux surprised me on how well it drank with a collection of meat and cheeses. Great nose of crushed berries and a nice finish for 20 seconds. Very nice!
