FWSG tasting. 2 pours. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Legs. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of briney minerality slight tidal pool, honeyed beeswax, citrus lemon, aged nut and old mouldy bread. Developed. On the palate, dry, just about high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of toasted bread, salty brine minerality, beeswax, citrus lemon, orange rind. Soft delicvate medium+ finish. Good quality. Time to drink up already. Not for further ageing.

Fine Wines SG - Chablis Tasting (Fine Wines SG): Medium lemon with a good brightness. A good amount of stones on the nose, and slight honey. Good intensity and acidic, light-bodied, with lemon zest and stones, as well as a touch of pepper and cloves, and honeysuckle. Could see it aged pretty well

Fine Wines SG - White Burgundy Tasting (Fine Wines SG): Some marked depth in the lemon colour, whilst still bright and clear. Lemon candy and straw on the nose. Still clearly acidic, lemony and briny, with a bit of shells, and seems like some clear pepper and nutmeg spices as well, so perhaps there’s at least a bit of oak treatment? Finishes softly, as of there’s a nuance of whipping cream. Pretty enjoyable

Going Away Dinner with Friends (Lake Effect, UT): This was a flawed bottle, but hard to say exactly what went wrong. Color was good, actually for the age it was great. he nose was interesting too, did show slight hints of oxidation, but at 13 years old nothing more than expected. Also bruised yellow apple and an over-ripe banana note. Not as mineral as expected, but obvious notes of Chardonnay. Then when it was tasted, something was very, very wrong. Hard to explain, but just horrible... I'm very curious what kind of faulty this was. The cork was saturated all the way through, but oxidation level seemed normal... Good luck, this smelled as though it could have been beautiful at some point..

Color is medium gold. Nose shows lemon and flinty notes. On the palate, citrus is met with minerality and touch of salinity. Seems past its prime at this point, but still relatively enjoyable.
