Pretty sure this was my last bottle of this, a great contrast to the Billaud-Simon of same vintage and Clos tasted alongside. Light gold color; quite floral, golden apple, crushed sea shell and hint of spearmint with petrichor emerging; palate is rich, ripe and layered. Seems slightly lactic (from winemaking or from age?). Best showing of this yet! 93+

Tulip yellow. Attractive musky seashore and floral scents. Medium weight, excellent, rich mouth coating feel. Lemon drop, an interesting note of oak vanillin, excellent salinity and acidity. The only downside for me is that the wood becomes a bit too obvious at the end, dominating the aftertaste. Not the most mineral Chablis, but overall an excellent result with nice fruit/acid balance and a worthy if not top shelf effort from this exalted plot. At its peak now.

I was wrong last time. THIS was my last bottle. Fully mature, consistent. No benefit to aging further!
