Used to be $40 a bottle. As per Cooper they have now dropped the price to it being $30 wine, currently $26 at Countdown (on speacial for $16). Initially the nose and palate were gorgeous then it dropped away and became nothing special. The next day it impressed again as being quite Bordeaux like, similar to Pomerol. Perhaps buy and put away as I suspect it rewards cellaring and shouldnt be drunk young. Bought 2 08’s

Broad with a bitter dark note on the finish. Not a deep or heavy wine, but a nice herbal easy drinker with a bit of complexity and very nice acid. A bit lean...in a good way. Fine tannins. Some delicate perfume. I think this wine could benefit from several years of bottle age. I'd look for this again. B

Intense dark fruit on the nose. A hint of white pepper on the front palate, nice smooth palate, well balanced. No alcohol - very nice NZ cabernet QPR (NZ$16 on sale)

Less impressed this time. Hadn't seemed to have improved with age. Ok, but not worth cellaring on this evidence.

Still reminds me of a Bordeaux (without the complexity). Lovely but needs more time.
