Day 1: Rose petal, red fruit, herb, and mineral on the nose. Palate features cranberry, orange zest, cinnamon, and some bing cherry. Tart. Medium finish. Some character but not profoundly expressive. Similar profile to many New Zealand Pinots.
Day 2 (with Wine Shield): Nose and palate have flip-flopped somewhat and the wine seems fully realized. Loses some nuance with much more air, though. Tart, angular qualities on the palate have softened and the wine gained some flesh. Actually has a longer finish and some velvety mouth feel now as well, which is what sets it apart. Definitely improved and more justifying of the price. I respect this style and am tired of the modern fruit bomb Cali Pinots. Had to raise score.

Hmm...not what we expected. Nice cherry Pinot, but a little light on the finish.

Sweeter and lighter perfume to the "basic" Ghostwriter SCM Pinot. Greater penetration across the palate and complexity as well.
