  Clean, crisp, little tad (a hint) of smoke, balanced, proper, but nothing more. Technical wine, lacking body and soul. More floral on the nose than subsequent taste would indicate. I have always struggled with Italian Chardonnay - it's not bad, but so what? I suppose at under $10 a bottle it falls into that vast ocean (ocean!) of cheap Chardonnay that Could Be Bad, but thankfully isn't. But it's nothing special either.....
