  Popped and poured. Broke the vertical, but then again when am I actually going to pull all 9 wines out at once. Color is definitely starting to show it's age. From a distance this would have made me think Pinot Noir, but closer examination showed significant bricking on the rim. The nose had leather, tobacco, graphite, blackberry and smoked meat. While the palate bounced back and forth between cherry and leather. Tannin structure was in check and had smoothed out. Good weight on the mouth feel. Would purchase again.

  I really do adore this wine (and winery).
  
  Rich garnet in the glass w/ slight bricking on the rim. Cassis, menthol, herbs and cedar smoke on the nose. Ripe blackberry compote with fresh raspberry red notes intertwined in this medium bodied young wine. Tannins are like a velvet hammer of saddle leather with background notes of roasted meat and pencil but still linger in the long and lovely finish.

  Wow this wine has aged really well. Our Xmas Eve party wine and it was well received.
  
  Deep garnet in the glass with slight bricking. Briar, blackberry, cassis and black pepper on the nose. Wonderful ripe black & blue fruit upfront surrounded by smoked meat and wrapped in black pepper firm tannins. A full bodied wine with a long finish that will go for 3-5 years more in the cellar.

  Deep purple in the glass. Nose of buttered corn, cassis and leather. Rich vibrant blackberry, plum and cherry notes wrapped in still tight tannins and notes of earth and tobacco. A long finish and a rich solid mouthfeel.
