  • Agree with Jeffyboy mostly. A little chalky but evened out a little after 30 minutes in the glass. Might benefit from a decant. Fine for $13 and a pizza. Curious about the 2011 I have of this. Might get another '10 and drink side by side for kicks.

  • very cherry colour - great. nose: very vulgar - cherries and lot of simple fruit plus some liqorice. taste: there is no acidity (the factor that barbera is most famous for) - @jlm called it bright but we could spot no acidity at all. The wine was full of sweet cherries plus some tea notes. Tanins round and simple. This is very drinkable stuff but definitly not Barbera d'Alba we all know. 16 EUR which you should pay in Poland is much too expensive. To rare beef - useless.

  • Started out thin, but with a little air, this fleshed out and developed into an excellent pairing with tomato sauce. I've been very pleased with the bright acidity this shows. Not a complicated wine, but a refreshing one that's easy to drink.
