This was fantastic and much better than the first one I had. I thought I just bought one of these but apparently found another in the cellar. Honied, rich, some ripe peach and orchard fruit, rich, awesome concentration, length, without being too heavy or hot (although not a wall flower for sure), still hanging on and I would say at or just past peak. PD w/fam

Not a wine for my taste. Reductive and lingering oak that never integrated in 10 years. Has a viscous mouth feel and an extremely long finish dominated by that oak. Butterscotch and salinity.

A touch of oxidation, but otherwise excellent depth, balanced, rich, long. I'm new to Sanguis and so far the 2 bottles I've had have been very good. Drank 2 years too late. Palm Desert

Limited notes. Nutty yellow apples, some serious dose of oak. Still nice balance on the finish as there's a good amount of fruit to support the wood. Quite nice.

Pop and pour. In the glass, cloudy gold. On the nose, muted honeysuckle and oak. On the palate, a viscous mouthfeel, with ample melon, lemon, a bit of butterscotch, and a bit of smoke on a moderately long finish - what was missing from the aromatics, is delivered on the palate. Really holding up remarkably well for its age. While I don't see it evolving from here, I also see it staying at this level for at least a couple more years. We had this with chicken, but I think this would be even better with a nice piece of salmon.
