  • Nice white, really shines when paired with food. I will buy more of this given the chance.

  • To The CellarTracker person who gave 80 points to this Bandol, from Domaine Tempier, the legend no less, brought to us by visionary Kermit Lynch, with self assigned name 'Snob'.....

You sir, unless you in the employ of the Bordeaux Council and on a clandestine mission to undermine Rhones, are hereby banished from every again buying, let alone put notes on CT, about any quality old world, unique wine. Your cup shall ever be filled with cougar juice Chardonnay, buttery beyond delight because malic acid was added for malolactic, or over oaked, over ripe, 15% new world Cabernet, blessed by Robert Parker, that you pay $100 for, Cellar for ten years, only to open to a hot mess of alcohol and no fruit.

Now, if you bought any more Bandol, we will reduce your sentence, if you hand it over.

For the rest of the world...if you ever see a bottle of Bandol Blanc - BUY IT!! Only 5% of this obscure region is white wine.
A blend of varieties I'd kill to have: 60% Clairette, 18% Ugni Blanc, 19% Bourboulenc, 3% Marsanne

I'd almost think this has Grenache Gris in it, has some of the similar waxy, petroleum qualities with same bright acidity.

This wine is one you marry, were it single.
Pale yellow color, slight green at tinge.
A nose of lemon, beeswax, white peach.
On The Palate....I can't put it down. The viscosity makes it coat your tongue, while the acidity makes it linger. If you are a wine lover of whites that are tactile, dense. AND bursting with fresh acidity, this is one of those rare wines that you just pause.....and go, wow.

I think my next level of Rhone ephiphany just arrived. God Bless you Kermit Lynch - most have no idea what you have done, single handedly, for the wine world.

  • Nice peach and citrus aromas. In the mouth quite viscous. Reminds me of several white rhones we had on our trip. In spite of viscosity, there is excellent acidity that carries on into a long finish.

  • A stunning blend of white Rhone varietals (yes, these are all Rhone) some of which aren't even grown yet on our shores in the US. :( Or in very small hard to find quantities.
    60% Clairette, 18% Ugni Blanc, 19% Bourboulenc, 3% Marsanne
This wine is even more special, as only 5% if the wine produced from Bandol is white.

God bless Kermit Lynch for discovering this Domaine and bringing it to the US. (Glad to close the 'distance' )

    Clear Pale Yellow color.
Nose: essence of lemon verbana, grapefruit, wet stone
In The Mouth its bursting with acidity, but married with a viscous denser mouthfeel. The aroma profile carries directly to the palate, with layers of white grapefruit, lemon and minerality,

A stunning white I wish I could have bought a case of, but at $40 a tad pricey. Nonetheless worth every penny and then some.

  • Wow, need to be drinking more of this. Lovely minerality with white fruit. Lean and sinewy yet refreshing and reminiscent of minerals and sea. Great food wine.
