Luscious. Classic Clare Shiraz bouquet deep ripe fruits with a eucalypt crush. Full bodied delicious integrated, velvet palate. Amazingly still tastes quite young and fresh, will last quite a bit longer if well cared for.

From 75cl, dried-out cork broke during extraction, but wine in perfect condition. Decanted off hefty slimy deposit 1 hour, remained stable another 2 hours thereafter. Intense blueberry cheesecake and fresh spearmint scent, with a dark undercurrant of allspice(?) Rich, silky-smooth entry, hardly any heat despite 16% alc.(!) and a wonderful heavy, velvety-ripe-dark-fruited midpalate. Both the once-dominant sweetness and the tannins are now fully resolved, but the latter still provide just enough structure to the finish to make this wine surprisingly moreish. Wish I had a few more to follow over the next 10-20 years. Come to think of it, this wine may well outlive me. 92P

From 75cl, dry cork broke during extraction, decanted off heavy deposit 1 hour. I wrote a lot about my previous bottle on 18.12.2010; nearly a decade later there isn't much to add. The scent of this bottle was less in-your-face; the palate still thick but less oily and bitter. All in all this is is gradually mutating to a kind of dryish vintage Port. No hurry. 89P

Holding up well. Excellent showing from Kilikanoon. Cedar box, dark berries, french oak. Tannins supple. Held together by well integrated acidity. No outstanding heat. Nice intensity, concentration and length. Consistent bottles.
