  • In contrast to others' experiences, the cork on my bottle was perfectly intact. Black cherries on the nose and palate. This is (still) a perfectly good fruit-forward wine although I can see how the lift-off that never came might have existed a few years ago. Definitely ready to drink now. Overpriced at 48 bones but still a pleasant bottle of jungle juice.

  • A good cab, but definitely on its way out. This wine was tasted tonight and I could see upon initial opening that the cork is proud about 2mm. Last 5-6mm of the cork broke off in the bottle.....uh oh. The wine was decanted for cork shrapnel, nothing else. Served rather immediately. The nose on this is still floral, vanilla, blueberry, but attenuated. Smelled kind of sharp. A nice dark red wine with some purple hue. Nice. Rather full bodied but I could just tell that it seemed to be lacking something. On the entry is a wine turning tart, with some blackberry, blueberry, molasses. Good floral nose which actually improved over the one hour dinner, but this one has faded. There is some raisin and plum that was in the mid-palate that didn't want to let go. Some grass towards the end. Still a very drinkable wine, and my wife and I actually quite enjoyed it. The one thing that is unmistakeable is that this is mountain fruit all the way from start to finish and I could have told you that blindfolded. Classic mountain cab. I would have liked to have this bottle about 3 years ago. If you have this one, drink it now, because it is on the decline.

  • Lots of sediment. Decanted but did not take enough care when pouring.

Drank well, I'm not a huge fan of green vegetables in my wine so Cab in general is still not my exact cup of tea. This was stuffed with fruit and some chocolate on the nose, lots of complexity and a nice wine. Don't be put off by my vegetable comment, my palate is not in that zone as of yet.

  • Very big wine. Smooth, lots of tannins but so well balanced one doesn't notice. Worth getting more.
