Great wine this time around, either previous bottle some years ago was flawed or it has seriously come around with more years in bottle. At 13 years old this wine fills the mouth with buttery, nutty notes and lingering citrus acidity. All in excellent balance. Could not ask for more from a village chassagne, not a heavy-weight but very solid showing this time around!

From 375ml. Light golden color, golden apple with hint of citrus and a "dusty" quality; perfect balance. Surprisingly fresh and at peak, especially tasted beside a '05 Sauzet 1er cru which was way past prime.

This bottle was past its prime and not much life left. A bit decomposed leaves in the nose and some citrus and nuts but not much there. Drink up. Update: new bottle 2017-12-02 was excellent, this was either flawed or shut down.

Surprisingly very pale in color; nose of crisp apple, citrus and hint of vanilla; great savory notes on palate as this is dry and extremely mineral-driven. A joy for lovers of chablis or German riesling who love the play between a rich, sweet quality and pure minerality playing on saltiness. That is the great mouthfeel as well. Nice length with the ripe frutiness winning out over the salinity. A joy to drink. These folks let me down big-time in the late 90's (POX). This is a big step towards redemption!

(Etienne Sauzet Chassagne-Montrachet) Light but pleasant citrus and cream nose; tasty, well balanced, good rich palate, lemon and nice acid; medium finish 91+ pts.
