Nose: fruity and fresh, aromas of cherry and red currant. Taste: acidity above average, not fully balanced by fruit. Cherry, red and black currant jam on the palate. Alcohol perceived as above average. Somewhat on the watery side in terms of body fullness. Medium long finish.

Wine Spectator School: Tuscany and Sangiovese (Minneapolis, MN): Pale ruby red in color, with faint aromas of red cherry, jam, plum, and currant. The flavors were muted. Moderately tannic, with a light body and high acidity, even for a sangiovese. This wine is a little harsh on its own, but paired very well with a tomato crostini. The finish is of moderate length. Works as a food wine.
